Chapter 9 - The Geneva Resolution
The grand conference hall in Geneva sparkled under crystal chandeliers, hosting the most powerful business magnates and syndicate leaders in Europe. At the center of the room stood Rocco Moretti, wearing his impeccably tailored black suit, radiating absolute calm and authority.
As expected, midway through the evening reception, Marco Vane and three of his armed lieutenants slipped through the side service doors, their hands hidden inside their jackets, moving stealthily toward Rocco’s position near the panoramic windows overlooking the lake.
Vane pulled a silenced pistol, stepping out from behind a marble pillar. "End of the line, Rocco. The Moretti empire ends tonight."
Before Vane could even raise his weapon, the heavy mahogany doors of the ballroom flew open. Dozens of elite Moretti tactical operatives, previously disguised as international security personnel, flooded the room, instantly disarming Vane’s lieutenants in a lightning-fast, synchronized maneuver.
At the same time, Marcus stepped directly behind Vane, pressing the cold barrel of a pistol firmly against the back of his neck.
Vane froze, his face turning pale as sweat beaded on his forehead. He slowly lowered his weapon, dropping it onto the polished marble floor.
Rocco turned around slowly, his dark eyes locking onto Vane with terrifying composure. "You thought ambition could replace strategy, Marco. You calculated my movements, but you forgot one fundamental rule: a man who protects his bloodline will burn down the world before he lets it fall."
"Rocco—wait—" Vane stammered, terror gripping his voice.

"Take him away," Rocco commanded quietly. "Send him to the deep-sea facility. He will spend the rest of his life contemplating the cost of foolishness."
As Vane was dragged away, kicking and screaming into the night, the remaining syndicate leaders in the room watched in absolute awe. No one would ever dare challenge the house of Moretti again. The threat was neutralized permanently, securing peace for generations to come.
