Chapter 10 - A Legacy Secured

Ten years later, the Moretti estate was filled with the sound of laughter and bright music. The grand gardens were adorned with white roses and fairy lights, celebrating a very special milestone.

Sophia Bellini, now an eighteen-year-old brilliant young scholar with bright eyes and an unshakeable spirit, stood by the entrance of the courtyard, adjusting her graduation gown. Beside her stood Elena, tears of pure joy streaming down her face as she watched her daughter achieve top honors from the finest academy in the country.

Running across the manicured lawn was a lively, energetic ten-year-old boy with dark hair and sharp, intelligent eyes—Lorenzo Moretti. He laughed as he chased a golden retriever across the grass, full of life, safety, and boundless love.

Rocco Moretti, now fifty-eight, stood on the stone veranda, leaning slightly on his polished cane, watching his son run and his adopted daughter smile. His hair had traces of silver at the temples, but his posture remained strong, and his eyes carried the quiet satisfaction of a man who had won the ultimate war.

Sophia walked up the steps of the veranda, stopping beside him, holding her graduation certificate in her hands.

"Thank you, sir," Sophia said softly, looking out over the peaceful estate. "For everything."

Rocco turned his head, a warm, genuine smile breaking across his stern face—a smile that only those he loved ever got to see.

"You didn't just save a life that night, Sophia," Rocco said, his voice rich with fatherly pride. "You saved this family. You are a Moretti in every way that matters."

Down on the lawn, Lorenzo ran over, shouting, "Sophia! Look what the puppy found!"

Sophia laughed brightly and ran down the steps to join him, while Elena watched from the doorway with a heart full of peace. Rocco stood on the veranda, watching his children play under the golden sun, knowing that his empire, his bloodline, and his heart were finally, eternally secure.
