Chapter 7 - The Revelation

Before Victoria could speak, the massive, concealed home-theater screen embedded in the wood-paneled wall of the foyer smoothly descended from the ceiling.

The room plunged into absolute silence as the display flickered to life.

Instead of corporate spreadsheets or security test patterns, the high-definition monitor displayed crystal-clear, multi-split video footage of the living room, kitchen, and hallways from the past seventy-two hours.

Victoria froze. Her breath caught in her throat as she watched herself on screen—her face twisted in malice, ripping Chloe's stuffed bunny away and throwing it across the room, screaming threats at terrified little girls, and cornering Grace against the wall with venomous insults.

“When your father isn't home, you listen to me the first time...”

The amplified audio echoed off the marble walls of the foyer, crystal clear and undeniable.

Victoria stumbled backward, her face draining of all color until she looked like a corpse. "No... no, this—this is edited! This is a deepfake! Dante, you can't believe—"

Before she could finish, the screen cut to a new feed: footage of Victoria sitting at Dante's private desk, typing furiously into the terminal, planting the forged embezzlement files under Grace's maiden name, and whispering her plot to ruin the housekeeper.

"You thought you were alone in this house," Dante said, stepping slowly toward her, his voice dropping to a terrifying, deathly whisper. "You thought because I travel, my eyes and ears were closed. You forgot one fundamental rule about the world I built, Victoria: nothing happens in my domain without my knowledge."

Victoria's knees buckled. She caught herself against the edge of the mahogany console table, trembling violently as she stared into Dante's eyes—eyes that held no anger now, only the absolute, chilling void of a predator about to crush its prey.

"Dante... please," she whimpered, all her arrogance completely shattered, replaced by raw, primal terror. "I—I was just stressed... I didn't mean... the girls were just—"

"You threatened my daughters," Dante interrupted, his voice cutting through her excuses like a razor-sharp blade. "You brought fear into my home. You abused your position, and you tried to frame an innocent woman who has loved and protected my children when no one else could."

He stopped inches away from her, towering over her trembling frame.

"You are not a partner, Victoria. You are a liability. And in my world, liabilities are permanently removed."
