Chapter 10 - A New Dawn

The morning sun rose over the Salvatore estate, casting golden rays across the manicured lawns, the fountains, and the grand limestone facade of the mansion. The heavy clouds of the previous days had vanished, leaving behind a crisp, clear blue sky.

Inside the sprawling estate kitchen, the atmosphere was entirely transformed. Gone was the suffocating tension and the chilling fear that had hung like a shadow over the halls. Instead, the air was filled with the warm, comforting scent of freshly baked pastries and brewing coffee.

Emma and Chloe sat at the island counter, laughing as they excitedly sketched new drawings in their books, their stuffed bunny propped up safely between them.

Grace stood at the stove, pouring fresh orange juice into two tall glasses, a genuine, relaxed smile gracing her face. The staff moved about the kitchen with renewed energy and cheerful efficiency, knowing the house was finally safe, harmonious, and truly protected.

From the doorway of the kitchen, Dante leaned against the archway, watching the scene unfold with his arms crossed over his chest. He wore a simple black button-down shirt, looking more like a proud father than a feared syndicate boss.

He watched as Emma made Chloe laugh by holding up a funny sketch of a cartoon rabbit wearing a crown. He watched as Grace gently scolded them with a warm, affectionate smile, wiping a smudge of flour from Emma's cheek.

For Dante Salvatore, power, empires, money, and control meant absolutely nothing compared to this—the genuine, untainted laughter of his daughters in a home filled with love and safety.

Grace turned around, catching sight of him standing in the doorway. She offered a soft, knowing nod. Dante returned the gesture, a rare, gentle smile touching the corner of his lips.

The storm had passed. The shadows had been driven away by the light. And inside the walls of the mansion, the Salvatore family was finally, truly at peace, knowing that no matter what threats lay beyond the gates, they were protected by an unbreakable bond of loyalty, courage, and love.
