Chapter 7 - The Battle for Castiglione

Don Ernesto Valli had sent twelve heavily armed men to breach the Castiglione estate, hoping to take Renzo by surprise and force a capitulation that would restore his family's authority. But Renzo Castiglione was no longer a grieving man distracted by loss; he was a father fighting to protect his children.

The firefight at the main entrance was short and brutal. Marco and the Castiglione security detail had anticipated every tactical approach. Using the estate's advanced security systems, they funneled the attackers into the courtyard, cutting off their escape routes.

Renzo walked into the courtyard armed only with a sidearm, his presence commanding absolute authority. Ernesto Valli stood trapped near the fountain, his weapons dropped, his remaining men pinned down by Marco’s snipers positioned on the balconies above.

"You brought war to my home, Ernesto," Renzo said, his voice echoing off the stone walls.

"You ruined my daughter! You destroyed our legacy!" Ernesto shouted, his face red with rage.

"Your legacy was built on stealing my children and tossing an infant into the trash," Renzo replied coldly. "You brought this ruin upon yourself."

Renzo did not execute Ernesto. Instead, he handed him over to federal authorities who arrived minutes later, backed by an overwhelming file of evidence detail Ernesto's decades of extortion, human trafficking, and corporate fraud. The Valli syndicate was systematically dismantled in a single morning, erased completely from the criminal landscape.
