Chapter 5 - A Father’s Wrath

With Chiara removed, Renzo launched a precise, systematic strike against the Valli network. Within forty-eight hours, every operative loyal to the conspiracy was neutralized or turned over to international authorities with undeniable evidence of human trafficking and fraud.
Renzo boarded a private jet bound for Geneva, accompanied by Marco and a specialized medical team. His heart pounded with an unfamiliar sensation—hope mixed with terror. For six years, he had mourned a ghost; now, he was traveling to claim a living son.
The villa outside Geneva was heavily guarded, but Marco’s team cleared the entry points in less than three minutes without firing a single lethal shot. Renzo breached the top-floor nursery himself.
Inside, sitting at a small wooden table with a coloring book, was a six-year-old boy with dark curly hair and sharp gray eyes. He looked up, startled by the intrusion, holding a blue crayon in his small fist.
Renzo stopped in the doorway, his breath catching in his throat. The boy bore an uncanny resemblance to his late wife, yet possessed the same stern brows that characterized the Castiglione lineage.
"Who are you?" the boy asked timidly in Italian.
Renzo slowly lowered himself to one knee, removing his dark coat and setting it aside to appear unthreatening. Tears, long buried under years of violence and cold ambition, welled in his eyes.
"My name is Renzo," he said, his voice cracking slightly. "I am your father, Leo. And I have been searching for you every single day of your life."
Leo looked at him for a long moment, sensing the absolute truth in the man's posture. He dropped his crayon and walked slowly across the room, reaching out a tiny hand to touch Renzo’s face.

"They told me my father was gone," Leo whispered.
"They lied," Renzo replied, pulling the boy into a tight, protective embrace. "I am right here, and no one will ever separate us again."
