Chapter 10 - Happily Ever After

The sun began to dip below the ocean horizon, painting the sky in breathtaking shades of gold, amber, and violet.
The guests had gradually departed, leaving the estate in a peaceful, serene quiet. The gentle sound of the waves rolling against the shore provided a soothing background melody to the evening.
Inside the grand living room, little Clara had finally fallen asleep, tucked safely into her crib upstairs.
I stood by the grand piano, looking out through the floor-to-ceiling glass doors at the starlit ocean. The door opened softly, and Julian walked in, carrying two crystal glasses filled with sparkling cider to toast the day’s success.
He handed one glass to me and raised his own.
"To new beginnings, to unbreakable strength, and to the brightest future ahead," Julian toasted warmly.
"To family," I smiled, clinking my glass against his.
The glass chimed with a clear, beautiful ring—a sound of absolute clarity, purity, and enduring peace.
