Chapter 10 - The Legacy of Love

Three years later, the grand estate of Apex Holdings hosted a vibrant, sun-drenched celebration. It was Liam's fourth birthday.
The lawns were filled with laughter, colorful balloons, and children playing. Daniel stood on the terrace, looking healthy, sharp, and genuinely happy. He was back as the CEO of his company, but things were vastly different now. The corporate culture was centered on charity, employee welfare, and ethical growth. He was no longer a man driven by greed, but by purpose.
Vanessa was a distant memory; she had remained abroad, fully satisfied with a financial settlement that kept her far away from the family she had tried to tear apart.
Elena walked out onto the terrace, wearing a beautiful cream dress. On her finger, the restored wedding ring caught the afternoon sunlight.
"He's about to blow out the candles, Mom," Daniel smiled, putting an arm around her shoulders. "He's been asking where his favorite person is."
"I wouldn't miss it for the world," Elena replied, leaning into her son's strong frame.
Down on the grass, little Liam ran toward the terrace, laughing. In his hand, he proudly waved the old silver rattle, which had been polished so brightly it looked brand new.

"Grandma! Daddy! Come on!" Liam cheered.
Elena and Daniel shared a look of profound peace. They had lost an empire of vanity, but in its place, they had built a fortress of love, respect, and true legacy. As they walked down the steps hand-in-hand to join the party, Elena knew that her family was finally, permanently, whole.
