Sofia, dressed in a beautiful white sundress with a matching pink bow in her curls, was running across the emerald lawn, chasing bubbles blown by one of the nurses, her musical laughter ringing out into the evening breeze.
In a stroller nearby, baby Leo gurgled happily, clutching a small rattle.
Marcelo stood on the stone patio, holding a glass of sparkling water, watching his children play. The emptiness that had defined his sprawling estate for ten long years was gone, replaced by a vibrant, living warmth that money could never buy.
Tiago walked up beside him, handing him a small, framed photograph.
It was the original picture taken from the crushed brown envelope—the one where Viktor was walking toward them in the ruined construction site, marking the exact moment their worlds collided.
"Thought you might want to frame this, sir," Tiago said quietly with a respectful smile. "As a reminder of where it all started."
Marcelo looked at the photograph, then out at Sofia, who had just stopped running and was waving frantically at him across the lawn.
