Chapter 6 - Flourishing Across the Ocean

Six months later. London, England.

In the heart of the prestigious Mayfair district, the magnificent Kingsbridge Estate sparkled under the morning sun. manicured gardens stretched as far as the eye could see, surrounding a grand stone mansion that had belonged to Julianne’s family for generations.

Julianne stood on the balcony, watching her children play happily on the lawn.

Leo was thriving at his new elite academy, excelling in chess and mathematics, while little Maya was taking ballet lessons at the Royal Academy. Their laughter echoed through the air—a sound that had been entirely absent during their cramped, tense days in Marcus's toxic household.

"They look truly happy, Julianne," a warm, deep voice said behind her.

Julianne turned with a bright, genuine smile. Walking onto the balcony was Lord Alexander Vance—a handsome, highly respected international architect and long-time family friend who had supported Julianne through her transition back into the high-society business world.

"They are happy because they are finally free, Alexander," Julianne said gently. "And so am I."

Alexander handed her a glass of freshly pressed juice. "The board meeting for the new European Sustainable Infrastructure Project is scheduled for two p.m. As the new Chairwoman of Kingsbridge Global, everyone is eager to hear your keynote address."

"I'm ready," Julianne replied, her eyes burning with confidence. She was no longer the quiet, meek woman who cooked dinner while taking verbal abuse from her mother-in-law and sister-in-law. She was a powerhouse, leading a global enterprise valued at tens of billions.
