Chapter 10 - A New Sunrise Together

Two years later.
The morning sun cast a golden glow across the nursery room of our coastal home. Light breeze rustled the soft curtains as I stood by the crib, watching our newborn daughter, Lily, sleep peacefully.
Ethan walked into the room carrying a warm cup of coffee, his face lit up with a gentle, contented smile. He wrapped his arms around my waist from behind, resting his head next to mine as we looked down at our baby girl.
"She has your eyes," Ethan whispered softly, kissing my cheek.
"And she has your nose," I replied with a quiet laugh.
Our life was completely transformed. We had built a home rooted in love, respect, and absolute honesty. Ashley had slowly begun her rehabilitation program, keeping her distance while fulfilling her court requirements, and Julian Sterling had moved on to rebuild his life far away from the scandal. As for Judith, her appeals had all been flatly rejected, and she remained serving her sentence in state prison, forgotten by the society she had once tried so desperately to impress.
We had left the pain of the past where it belonged—in the dark behind us.
Ethan turned me around gently in his arms, looking into my eyes with deep devotion. "Thank you for never giving up on us, Clara. Thank you for showing me what a real family feels like."

"We made this family together, Ethan," I said, resting my hand over his heart. "And it's safe now."
Outside, the ocean waves rolled steadily against the shore, heralding a bright, clear day. We stood together in the quiet warmth of our home, holding each other tight as our baby daughter drifted off into peaceful dreams—surrounded by a love that no one could ever tear apart.
