Chapter 10 - The Right House

Dinner was served at eight. The table was full of laughter, shared stories, and deep gratitude. There were no expensive catered dishes or silver candelabras, just homemade food passsed from hand to hand around a warm table.

As the clock struck midnight, marking Christmas Day, snow began to fall gently outside the dining room window, dusting the glass in soft white swirls.

Daniel stood up and lifted his glass.

"A toast," he said, looking around the table, his eyes lingering on his mother. "To family. To hard lessons, second chances, and the love that holds us accountable when we lose our way."

Everyone raised their glasses.
