Chapter 9 - Rebuilding the Sanctuary

With the trial behind us, our lives underwent a profound transformation. We decided to sell our house, wanting a completely fresh start away from the neighborhood that held memories of the surveillance nightmare.
We bought a beautiful, sun-drenched cottage nestled near a peaceful lake, surrounded by towering pine trees and wild flowers. The new house was filled with warmth, laughter, and above all, a profound sense of absolute safety.
Aaron visited us frequently, often bringing his dog, a goofy golden retriever named Buster who quickly became Lily’s favorite playmate. Our home became a bustling sanctuary of love, filled with friends, real family, and genuine joy.
