Chapter 10 - The Picture in the Sun

Two months later, a small, intimate wedding was held in the backyard garden overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There were no reporters, no business partners, and no cold socialites. Only a dozen close friends, Dr. Vance, and Lena, who served as the proudest flower girl in the world, wearing a pale yellow dress that matched the bright sun above.
Meera wore a simple lace dress, her dark hair flowing over her shoulders. When she walked down the flower-strewn aisle toward Adrien, he looked at her with tears of deep gratitude in his eyes.
They exchanged simple vows written from the heart—vows of trust, honesty, and eternal protection.
When the ceremony ended, Lena ran up to them, holding a fresh drawing she had finished that morning.
“Daddy! Mommy! Look!” she shouted, holding up the paper.
Adrien caught her in his arms, lifting her high into the air before pulling Meera close into a shared embrace.
Adrien looked down at the paper. It was a drawing of three people standing hand in hand under a giant, brilliant yellow sun. But this time, the man was no longer far away, and the door was wide open.
“Is that us?” Adrien asked, kissing Lena’s cheek.
