Chapter 10 - The Morning Sun

Six months later, the grand mansion in Morumbi hummed with a vibrant, chaotic, beautiful symphony of life.
It was no longer a cold museum or a battleground. It was a home.
In the kitchen, Mariana was busy explaining a complex organic chemistry concept to her younger sisters while mixing batter for Sunday pancakes. Beatriz and Bianca were giggling as they set the dining table, entirely free of pranks. Laura’s hair had fully grown back, thick and glossy, framing a bright, confident smile. Julia slept through the night without a single nightmare, and little Isabela ran around the garden, chattering happily with her rag doll in hand.
Upstairs, framed elegantly in the hallway alongside university diplomas, hung a brand-new framing certificate: a degree in Child Psychology, proudly bearing the name Luía Oliveira Albuquerque.
On the expansive upper balcony overlooking the golden sprawl of São Paulo, Ricardo stood with his arms wrapped tightly around Luía’s waist, resting his chin gently on her shoulder.
They weren't just an employer and an employee, nor were they merely partners in romance—they were the architects of a rescued family.
Luía turned in his arms, wrapping her hands around his neck with a warm, radiant smile. "You know, Mr. Mendonza, out of all your tech startups and billion-real valuations, hiring me was still your best investment."

Ricardo laughed—a rich, booming sound that echoed through the open air—and pulled her close. "My only regret," he whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead, "is that I didn't let you in on day one."
The millionaire who had once fired thirty-seven nannies had finally found the only person who mattered: the woman who had dared to walk straight into the fire, embrace the ashes, and teach them all how to love again.
