Chapter 8 - Healing the Broken Line

Arthur was escorted out in handcuffs, his furious curses fading into the night. The grand hall fell completely silent, save for the quiet ticking of the grandfather clock.

Julian stood before Elena, looking incredibly small despite his vast wealth. "All these years," he murmured. "I was told my aunt died at birth. My father lied to me. The whole family built an empire on a lie, casting out a sick child just to preserve an image."

He looked at Mateo, who was holding onto Elena's leg, and then back to Elena. "You are my cousin. You are a Castellane. And you were scrubbing floors in my hotel while I lived in luxury."

"I didn't want your money, Julian," Elena said softly. "I only wanted to save my son. When I saved Lily, I didn't see a billionaire's daughter. I just saw a little girl who couldn't breathe."

Julian wiped a tear from his eye and smiled, a genuine, unburdened smile. "You saved my daughter, and in doing so, you saved our family from its own darkness. You are home now, Elena. Both of you."

The next morning, Julian called an emergency press conference. Standing before a sea of reporters, he didn't present a corporate merger. Instead, he stood with his arm around Elena and Mateo, with Lily smiling brightly in the front row.

Julian officially announced the discovery of his biological cousin, restoring Clara Castellane’s name to the family lineage posthumously. He established the Clara Castellane Foundation, a multi-billion-dollar global initiative dedicated to providing free, top-tier respiratory and allergy care to underprivileged children worldwide. Elena was named the permanent Chairperson of the foundation.
