Over the next month, my physical strength returned, and with it, a fierce determination to protect my daughter.
Dominic tried desperately to reach me. He sent flowers, apologetic emails, and even tried to have his lawyers propose a "peaceful settlement." He offered to waive all rights to Sophia in exchange for Arthur pulling back his financial attack on Vance Enterprises.
I rejected the offer instantly.
"He thinks this is a negotiation," I told Sarah during our weekly briefing in my father’s estate, where Sophia and I were now living. "He thinks he can trade my daughter's safety for his company's survival."
"What do you want to do, Vivienne?" Sarah asked.
"I want him to lose everything," I said coldly. "I want the world to see him for exactly what he is."
We went public.
I authorized Sarah to release the security footage of the hospital room from the day Sophia was born, along with copies of the forged surrogacy contract. The story exploded across the media overnight.
