The legal battle that followed was swift and devastating. The evidence compiled by Ethan, combined with the physical toxins recovered from Claudia's vanity mirror compartment during the raid, left the defense with absolutely nothing to fight with.
The corrupt doctor, facing a lifetime in prison, immediately turned state's evidence, testifying against Claudia and Mark in exchange for a slightly reduced sentence. He detailed exactly how Claudia had paid him tens of thousands of dollars to supply the heavy-metal toxins and falsify Ethan’s blood work.
