Chapter 9 - Rebuilding from the Ashes

With the Swiss trust safely secured and the financial settlement from the divorce, Lily and I finally had the freedom we had been denied for so long.
We bought a beautiful, sun-drenched cottage near the coast, far away from the toxic influence of the Harrison family. The house had a massive backyard where Lily could run, play, and laugh without fear.
I opened a small, boutique bookstore and art studio in our new town—a dream I had put on hold for years to support Mark’s career. The community welcomed us with open arms. For the first time in my life, I felt valued, respected, and truly at peace.
