Chapter 9 - The Promise of Forever

Three years later, the gardens of the Malibu estate were transformed into a paradise of white roses, fairy lights, and classical music.

It was a small, private ceremony. Only family, close friends, and the people who had stood by Sophia during her journey were present. Mrs. Alvarez sat in the front row, wearing her finest Sunday dress, crying tears of absolute joy.

At the end of the aisle stood Caleb Vance. He looked incredibly handsome in a sharp navy tuxedo, his eyes locked onto the back of the garden with an expression of pure reverence.

The music shifted to a beautiful, soaring melody.

The crowd stood up.

Walking down the aisle, holding a basket of flower petals, was five-year-old Aurora. She wore a beautiful white dress, her dark curls bouncing as she threw petals with extreme seriousness, looking up at Caleb and giving him a big, toothy grin.

And then came Sophia.

She walked down the aisle flanked by her three brothers. Ethan on her left, Matthew on her right, and Lucas walking just behind her, his hand resting supportively on her shoulder. They didn't just walk her down the aisle; they escorted her into her new life, a unified front of unconditional love and protection.

Sophia looked breathtaking. Her gown was elegant and simple, but it was the radiant happiness shining in her eyes that made her truly beautiful. The scars on her body had healed long ago, and the scars on her heart had been replaced by the profound joy of a woman who had fully reclaimed her destiny.

When they reached the altar, Ethan took Caleb’s hand, looking him dead in the eye. The billionaire’s voice was soft, but carried the same immense weight as always. "We are trusting you with our greatest treasure, Caleb."

Caleb looked back at Ethan, then at Matthew and Lucas, his gaze unwavering. "I will love her, honor her, and protect her with my life. Every single day."

Matthew smiled, placing Sophia’s hand into Caleb’s. "We know you will."

As the minister began the vows, Caleb squeezed Sophia’s hand. "You are my home, Sophia," he whispered.

"And you are mine," she replied, her voice steady and full of peace.
