George called Brian’s office line multiple times, attempting to guilt-trip him by saying Carol was falling into a deep depression. Brian, however, remained resolute. He told George that if Carol was struggling, she should seek professional therapy to address her narcissistic and controlling tendencies.

The biggest shock came when Brian received a legal notification from his mother's condo association. They were inquiring if the primary account holder (Brian) wished to renew the automated billing agreement. Brian officially declined and sent a formal letter stating he had zero financial ties to the property.
Without Brian's money, Carol and George were forced to put the luxury condo on the market and look for a much smaller, modest apartment outside the city limits. The lifestyle they had built on the back of their son's hard work was completely evaporating, and they had no one to blame but themselves.
