The audio filled the quiet room with crisp, undeniable clarity. Everyone heard Sarah telling a five-year-old child, “Say what disobedient children have to learn.” They watched Matthew shake with fear as he opened a box of literal garbage. They heard Michael dismiss his own son's trauma with a cold, rehearsed sigh. And finally, they watched Sarah sneer right before I pushed the bag toward her face.
The judge’s face darkened from professional neutrality to profound disgust.
"Mr. Harrison," the judge said, turning her icy gaze toward Michael's lawyer. "Your clients presented this incident as unprovoked violence. This is systemic psychological abuse of a minor orchestrated by the paternal grandmother, enabled completely by the father."
Sarah stood up abruptly in the gallery, her face flushing bright red. "This is an outrage! That footage has been manipulated!"

"Sit down, Mrs. Harrison, or I will have you removed for contempt of court," the judge snapped. She then looked at Marcus. "Does the defense have anything else to present?"
"Yes, Your Honor," Marcus said smoothly, sliding my father's forensic accounting binder onto the podium. "We also submit evidence of felony grand larceny and trust fund embezzlement committed by Sarah Harrison against the minor child, Matthew Harrison."
