Chapter 5 - Exposing the Golden Child
Bright and early on December 26th, we met with Victoria Vance, a top-tier probate and trust attorney who came highly recommended.
After reviewing the trust documents, transfer logs, and Andrew’s personal wire receipts, Victoria leaned back in her leather chair with an intense, analytical expression.
"This is one of the most egregious breaches of fiduciary responsibility I've seen in a long time," Victoria said firmly. "Because Great-Grandma Josephine established a formal trust agreement with specific restrictions, Margaret and William were legally bound to manage those funds exclusively for Chloe's benefit. Diverting them to Britney or personal use constitutes civil fraud, breach of trust, and potential criminal embezzlement."
"What are our options?" Andrew asked.
"We issue a formal demand for an immediate, full accounting of the trust," Victoria explained. "We file an emergency petition in court to remove Margaret and William as trustees, appoint an independent professional fiduciary, and freeze all remaining trust assets. Furthermore, we freeze any accounts that received these unlawful transfers."
That afternoon, the consequences began to ripple. Britney called Andrew seven times in a row. When he finally answered on speakerphone, her voice was hysterical.
"Andrew! What did you do?!" she screamed. "My bank account is locked! I can't pay my mortgage or my car payment!"
"I didn't do anything, Britney," Andrew replied coldly. "The legal system is taking over. You accepted over fifty thousand dollars in stolen money meant for a child's college fund."
"Mom gave me that money! She said it was an advance on my inheritance!" Britney sobbed. "You’re ruining my life! My kids won't have their sports fees paid!"

"You didn't care about Chloe's future when you were laughing at her on Christmas dinner," I spoke up into the phone. "You took advantage of a child. Return the money, Britney, or prepare to explain it to a judge."
She slammed the phone down, but the dominoes had already started falling.
