PART 10: Our Happily Ever After

One year after the storm that changed our lives forever, the San Diego estate was unrecognizable. It wasn't just a grand house anymore; it was a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.

We held a small, intimate wedding on the private cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. There were no media moguls, no politicians, and no toxic relatives—just our closest friends, Clara officiating with a tearful smile, and my three beautiful daughters acting as flower girls in shimmering pastel dresses.

When Bruce placed the diamond ring on my finger and kissed me in front of the golden sunset, I knew that every tear I had cried, every blow I had endured, and every dark night of fear had led me precisely to where I was supposed to be.

That evening, as the reception wound down and the stars began to twinkle across the vast ocean sky, I stood on the balcony of our bedroom, looking out over the water.

Bruce walked up behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist and resting his chin softly on my shoulder.

"What are you thinking about?" he asked softly, kissing my cheek.

I leaned back into his embrace, placing my hands over his.

"I was just thinking about Agatha," I admitted quietly. "And about David. I used to hate them for what they did to us."

Bruce turned me around to face him, his dark eyes filled with gentle understanding. "And now?"

"Now, I don't hate them anymore," I smiled, wrapping my arms around his neck. "Because without the storm they created, I never would have found you. And I never would have discovered how strong my daughters and I truly are."

Bruce smiled, his gaze softening as he leaned down and kissed my lips—a slow, tender promise of all the tomorrows we would share together.

Downstairs, we could hear Olivia and Erica laughing as they played a game with Holly, their bright voices echoing through the halls of a home built not on secrets and fraud, but on truth, safety, and endless love.

We had won our happily ever after. And the past could finally rest in peace.
