Chapter 10 - Where the Sun Touches the Ground

That evening, as the guests departed and the sun began its slow descent below the horizon, painting the sky in brilliant hues of gold, crimson, and violet, the family gathered on the soft grass of the lower garden.
Nathaniel sat on a wooden bench, holding Willow close against his side. Nora and Wren were curled up on a soft picnic blanket at their feet, exhausted from a long day of running, while Leo sat beside them reading a storybook aloud to the girls.
The silence that settled over the estate was no longer the heavy, suffocating silence of Belgravia's empty halls. It was the peaceful, quiet contentment of a home filled with love, trust, and belonging.
Nathaniel looked down at his laptop resting on the side table. On the screen was a live security feed of the garden—the very same system that had once been a tool of fear and suspicion.
On the screen, he saw himself, Willow, and the three children, bathed in the last golden rays of sunlight.
Willow noticed where he was looking. She smiled softly, reaching over to gently close the laptop lid, shutting down the camera feed completely.
"We don't need the cameras anymore," she whispered, turning her face up to his.
