Chapter 10 - The Brightest Light

Ten years after the horrific discovery that changed their lives forever, the Whitaker estate was filled with the sound of laughter once again.
A small two-year-old girl with bright golden curls and her mother's sharp, intelligent green eyes toddled across the grass, chasing a red ball. Her name was Maya—Logan and Emily’s daughter.
Caleb, now a handsome eighteen-year-old young man preparing to leave for medical school at Stanford, caught his little sister before she tumbled into the rose bushes, lifting her high onto his shoulders. Maya squealed with delight as Caleb spun her around.
Logan stood on the patio holding a pair of coffee mugs, watching his children with a heart completely full of peace. Emily walked out to join him, leaning into his side as they watched the sunrise over the ocean.
There were no more dark secrets, no hidden fears, and no poisons lurking in the shadows. The mansion on the cliff was no longer a crime scene or a trap—it had become a true sanctuary, built on truth, resilience, and unyielding love.
Caleb carried his baby sister up to the terrace, placing her gently in Emily’s lap before turning to his father.
"Ready for the trip to campus, Dad?" Caleb asked, his voice filled with confidence and excitement for the future.

"Always ready, son," Logan replied, clapping a hand on Caleb's shoulder.
They looked out together over the vast, brilliant horizon of the Pacific Ocean, where the morning sun broke through the remaining clouds, illuminating a world that was finally bright, beautiful, and whole.
