Chapter 10 - A Beautiful Future Built on Truth

Three years later.
The sun shone brightly over the grand lawn of our estate. Laughing voices filled the air.
I stood on the terrace, holding a beautiful, plump two-year-old boy in my arms. His name was Leo, named after my late father. A few steps away, Alex was chasing our twin daughters, Grace and Lily, who were giggling uncontrollably as they ran through the sprinklers.
My hand instinctively moved to my stomach, where another life was safely growing. The doctors had once feared the trauma of the fall might prevent me from conceiving again, but love and peace had healed my body in ways medicine couldn't explain.
Sophia Sterling walked up beside me, handing me a glass of fresh juice. "You look completely at peace, Audrey."
"I am, Sophia," I said, watching Alex pick up the twins and swing them around, his laughter echoing across the yard. "For the first time in my life, I am exactly where I belong."
We had heard recently that Dominic was working as a low-level site manager for a construction firm in another state, living in a small rented apartment, completely forgotten by the society he once craved. But his name didn't bring bitterness to my heart anymore. He was just a ghost from a past life.
Alex walked up the terrace steps, his face flushed from playing with the kids. He kissed my forehead, then kissed Leo’s chubby cheek, before placing a gentle hand on my growing belly.
"Everything okay, my queen?" he asked softly.
I looked at my beautiful children, my devoted husband, and the bright, limitless future ahead of us.

"Everything is perfect," I replied, leaning into his warmth.
The darkness was entirely gone. I had finally built a true family, not out of greed or secrets, but out of love, trust, and absolute truth.
