Chapter 5 - Unraveling the Conspiracy

While Knox and Sarah prepped the heavy entry weapons, Miller and I dove deep into the digital footprint of my wife's betrayal. What we uncovered was a web of deceit that spanned over two years.

Evelyn hadn't met me by accident. Her mother, Eleanor, had engineered their initial meeting after learning about my covert background and the vault keys I held for high-level intelligence assets. Over eight years of marriage, Evelyn had played the perfect, loving wife, waiting for the right moment when my guard was completely down.

"Look at this," Miller said, bringing up financial records. "Eleanor took out massive debts with offshore cartels. Evelyn was in on it from day one. They used your daughter’s biometric profiles to unlock your secondary security vaults."

My stomach turned. Every memory, every holiday, every tender moment with my wife had been a calculated lie. The only genuine thing in that house was the love I had for my daughter, Lily—and the innocent trust she had in her mother.

"They dragged her by her hair, Miller," I said softly, looking at the frozen frame from my doorbell camera. "Her own grandmother. Her own mother stood there and filmed it."

"They're monsters, David," Miller said quietly. "And tonight, the monsters meet their maker."

"Let's move," I ordered. "We hit them fast, clean, and without mercy."
