Chapter 10 - The Dawn of Forever

One year later, the sprawling estate looked entirely different. The iron gates were no longer a barrier keeping the world out; they were the welcoming entrance to a home filled with laughter, sunlight, and life.

Ivy, now four years old with bright ribbons in her curls, was running across the lawn, chasing a golden retriever puppy while shouting with glee.
Grace sat under the shade of a large oak tree, watching her daughter with a heart full of absolute peace. A pair of strong, familiar arms wrapped gently around her waist from behind, and a warm chin rested softly on her shoulder.
"Penny for your thoughts, Mrs. Vitale," Marcus whispered, pressing a soft kiss to her cheek.
Grace leaned back against his chest, smiling as she placed her hand over his. The wedding ring on her finger caught the afternoon sun, sparkling brilliantly.
"I was just thinking about the park," Grace murmured softly. "And how far we've come."

Marcus tightened his embrace, looking out across the lawn at their daughter, who was now laughing as she grabbed her father's massive hand—the one holding a strawberry cupcake for her—without a single ounce of fear in the world.
"We're right where we belong," Marcus said, smiling as he kissed his wife's forehead. "Forever."
