. She was wrong.
When her rich sister-in-law Cassandra suddenly invited Claire’s son Ethan to an exclusive resort pool, Claire felt uneasy but agreed. Hours later, Cassandra’s daughter Lily called, sobbing that Ethan was not waking up. Claire arrived and found her little boy unconscious near the deep end, his skin pale and lips turning blue, while Cassandra stopped a lifeguard from touching him.
Cassandra acted annoyed, not afraid. She claimed Ethan had spilled a smoothie on her luxury handbag, so she gave him a “calming gummy.” But hospital tests revealed something far more terrifying: Ethan had been drugged with a powerful tranquilizer mixed into a pink drink.
Then police arrived—not to arrest Cassandra, but to question Claire. Someone had sent Child Protective Services photos of pills, alcohol, and hidden medication inside Claire’s apartment before Ethan collapsed. Cassandra had not only poisoned Ethan; she had prepared a perfect frame-up to make Claire look like a dangerous, unstable mother.
The investigation uncovered hidden cameras inside Claire’s home, secretly recording her for months. The footage had been used to fake her voice and face, authorizing millions of dollars to be stolen from Ethan’s trust. The trail led to a company belonging to Daniel, Claire’s supposedly dead husband.
