THE SECRET LEFT IN ROOM 307 / Chapter 2 / 3

Chapter 2: The Disappearance

Ethan spent the entire night beside Emma's bed, unable to stop thinking about the note.

Why would Emma accuse Ryan?

The next morning, he confronted him.

Ryan stared at the note, his face turning pale.

“You think I hurt her?” he asked.

“Then explain this.”

Ryan sighed heavily and sat down.

“Emma discovered something at work. Something dangerous.”

“What kind of something?”

“She uncovered evidence of financial fraud inside the company.”

Ethan frowned.

“What does that have to do with you?”

“I used to work closely with the executives involved. She probably thought I was connected.”

For a moment, Ethan felt relieved.

But then Ryan's phone buzzed.

A text message appeared on the screen.

Stay out of this, or the woman in Room 307 dies.

Both men stared at the message.

The threat was real.

Someone was watching them.

That evening, Ethan returned to the hospital after speaking with the police.

But the moment he reached Room 307, his blood ran cold.

The bed was empty.

The heart monitor was disconnected.

Emma was gone.

No nurses knew where she was.

No doctors had approved a transfer.

She had vanished without a trace.

And somewhere in the hospital, a security camera had captured two people dressed as medical staff wheeling her away.
