Chapter 10 - The Legacy of Love and Triumph

The wedding was a private, intimate affair held in the rose gardens of the Sloan estate. There were no press, no corporate sponsors, no high-society cameras. Just our closest friends, the loyal board members who had become family, and of course, our children.

Leo and Ava, dressed in adorable miniature wedding attire, served as the ring bearer and flower girl, giggling as they walked down the grassy aisle.

When Adrian and I exchanged our vows, there were no grand promises of power or wealth. We promised to respect each other, to protect our family, and to love each other with a truth that required no masks.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm, golden glow over the estate, I stood on the terrace, holding a glass of champagne. Adrian was nearby, talking to Arthur, who looked like a proud grandfather.

I looked out over the gardens, feeling a profound sense of completion.

My story had begun in pain, betrayal, and a cold hospital room. But I had refused to let that chapter define my life. I had taken the shattered pieces of my trust and used them to build an empire of steel, intellect, and unbreakable maternal love.

I was Veronica Sloan. I was the foundation, the builder, the mother, and the queen. And as I looked at my husband, my children, and the bright, endless horizon before us, I knew that the empire we were building now was not made of glass and steel—it was built on a foundation of pure, everlasting love.

And that was a legacy that would never fall.
