Chapter 10 - The New Beginning

Six months later, the spring sun bathed the grand estate in a brilliant, golden warmth. The cherry blossoms along the driveway were in full bloom, painting the grounds in shades of soft pink and vibrant green.
Inside the sprawling kitchen, the air was filled with the mouth-watering aroma of freshly baked cinnamon rolls and roasted coffee.
“Daddy! Daddy, look! The first tomato is sprouting!”
Four-year-old Oliver burst through the French doors from the back garden, holding up a small dirt-covered pot with a tiny green stem poking through the soil, closely followed by Leo and Micah.
Ethan, dressed in a casual linen shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, chuckled as he picked Oliver up, swinging him into the air. “That’s amazing, buddy! Show Miss Naomi, she’s the master gardener.”
At the center island, Naomi turned around, wiping flour from her hands onto her white apron. She looked radiant, her eyes sparkling with a deep, untroubled happiness that completely eclipsed the shadows of her past.
And she wasn't just wearing an apron today. On her left ring finger, a simple, elegant diamond ring caught the morning sunlight, flashing brilliantly against the kitchen lights.
Mrs. Alvarez smiled warmly from the corner, sliding a tray of fresh pastries onto the counter. “Well, Mr. Cole, if you keep holding up the kitchen, breakfast is going to get cold.”
“Coming, Mrs. Alvarez,” Ethan laughed, setting Oliver down gently.
He walked over to Naomi, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind and resting his chin comfortably on her shoulder. Naomi leaned back into his embrace, smiling as she turned her head to press a soft kiss to his cheek.
“Are you sure you don’t want to take that pediatric consulting position in downtown Chicago, Mrs. Cole?” Ethan teased softly, whispering in her ear. “Word has it the city’s top clinics are still begging for your expertise.”
Naomi smiled, turning around in his arms to look up into his eyes, her hands resting comfortably on his chest. “Let them beg. I’ve already got the most challenging, high-profile consulting job in the state.”
“Oh yeah? And what’s that?”
“Managing four overgrown boys who refuse to eat their vegetables and keep leaving their shoes in the middle of the hallway,” she laughed, her eyes dancing with joy.

Ethan grinned, pulling her closer until there was no space left between them. Down the hall, the sound of the triplets laughing filled the grand corridors—a sound not of chaos, but of pure, unadulterated life, healing, and love.
The millionaire hadn't just found a housekeeper in his bed that fateful night six months ago. He had found his heart, his home, and a future built to last forever.
