Part 1 – The Billionaire Who Faked a Broken Leg Until a Ragged Boy Smashed the Cast Open

The private hospital suite was silent except for the soft hum of high-end monitors and the rain ticking against the wall of windows above the city. Cold white light spilled across the polished floor while three doctors stood around Victor Langley’s bed. His enormous leg cast was propped above the blankets like something sacred no one was allowed to question.

Then—

CRACK.

The sound ripped through the room.

A small boy in torn clothes stood beside the bed, a dark river stone clenched in his fist. Chips of white plaster burst across the floor as a jagged fracture spread down the cast.

"What did you do?!" Victor shouted, gripping the rails until his hands shook.

Every face swung toward the boy.

But he didn’t flinch.

Didn’t apologize.

Didn’t even blink.

"It wasn’t healing," he said.

Silence dropped over the suite.

A thin crack crept farther along the cast.

Victor saw it and his expression changed so fast it chilled the room.

Not pain.

Panic.

"Stop!" he snapped.

The doctors exchanged startled looks.

The boy lifted the stone again, calm and precise, like he had been told exactly where to strike.

SMASH.

Another section broke loose.

Dr. Nora Bennett gasped as part of the cast split open entirely.

Everyone froze.

Inside was smooth skin.

Normal color.

No swelling.

No bruise.

No injury.

The boy pointed at the exposed foot.

"Move them."

No one breathed.

Then one toe twitched.

Another.

A shocked sound escaped one of the doctors.

Victor began sweating so hard it shone on his forehead.

The boy’s voice stayed soft.

"So why were you pretending?"

The room felt smaller by the second.

Dr. Bennett knelt beside the broken cast while the other physician carefully peeled back the torn inner lining.

Something had been hidden inside.

His fingers closed around plastic.

He pulled out a sealed packet.

"What is this?" he whispered.

Victor’s face seemed to collapse in on itself.

The doctor freed one corner.

Inside was a folded stack of papers.

Stamped across the top in dark red letters—CONFIDENTIAL.

And just before the first page came fully into view, the old billionaire lunged forward with a terror that no one in the room had ever seen before.

"DON’T OPEN THAT—"
