Chapter 10 - The New Foundation

The gardens of the Bellandi estate were in full bloom. A vibrant tent of white silk had been erected over the lush green lawn, decorated with thousands of twinkling fairy lights that mirrored the summer stars above.

It was a real wedding.

There were no cold city hall stamps, no sterile legal atmosphere, and no secrets. The entire neighborhood of the North End seemed to be celebrating, but the heart of the party remained fiercely intimate.

Finn Doyle stood near the entrance, looking sharp in a tuxedo, acting as a proud best man. Carmela Russo was shedding tears of pure joy into a handkerchief, watching the family she had served for decades finally find true happiness.

Music floated through the warm evening air as Rocco and Delaney took the floor for their first dance as a true husband and wife. Delaney looked breathtaking in a simple, elegant ivory gown, her hair falling in soft waves around her shoulders. Rocco held her close, his eyes never leaving her face, a brilliant, radiant smile gracing his features.

As they swirled across the floor, two little figures suddenly broke away from the crowd and ran toward them.

Aria and Piper, wearing matching flower-girl dresses of soft blush pink, giggled as they slid onto the dance floor, interrupting the romantic moment without a single shred of hesitation.

"Can we dance too?" Aria asked, looking up with wide, hopeful eyes.

Rocco laughed, a deep, joyful sound, and immediately swept Aria up into his left arm. Delaney reached down, pulling Piper into her embrace, and the four of them swayed together to the music, surrounded by the laughter and applause of their loved ones.

Piper looked up at Delaney, her fierce, protective brown eyes now filled with nothing but absolute warmth and adoration. "You’re the best mother in the whole world, Delaney."

May you like

Delaney kissed Piper’s cheek, her heart swelling to the point of bursting. "And you two are the best daughters a woman could ever dream of."

As the song ended, Rocco looked over the heads of his beautiful daughters, his gaze locked onto his wife. The journey had begun on the frozen, desperate steps of a church, born out of a terrible lie that had ruined her past. But through courage, truth, and an unbreakable bond, they had torn down the old, corrupt foundations and built an empire of their own—an empire founded on love, safety, and a beautiful, everlasting future.
