Part 6: The Walls Collapse

Back at the marital estate, the walls were literally and figuratively caving in.
According to the private property manager I had quietly alerted, Ryan had sped home from his office by 3:30 PM, slamming his luxury sedan into the driveway and bursting through the front door, shouting for his mother.
Linda had been sitting in the living room, calmly sipping more tea, expecting her son to have successfully disciplined his "rebellious" wife. Instead, Ryan reportedly threw the court documents onto the coffee table, scattering her teacup across the hardwood floor.
"Mom! What did you do?!" Ryan had screamed, according to the manager who overheard the shouting match from the hallway.
"Me? What did she do?" Linda had squawked back, standing up defensively. "That ungrateful bitch walked out over a simple reorganization! You need to put her in her place, Ryan! Call the police! Report her for parental abduction!"
"She didn't abduct him, Mom! She served me with divorce papers!" Ryan yelled, his voice cracking with hysteria. "And look at this—our accounts are frozen! My business credit line is locked! The bank says the postnuptial agreement gives her total control of the primary asset because you and I 'materially breached the domestic occupancy trust'!"
Linda had reportedly gone pale, scoffing in disbelief. "A piece of paper can't kick me out of my son's house! I'm moving my other twenty boxes of clothes into the master bedroom then! If she wants to play hardball, we'll take her to court and strip her of everything!"
She reached for the front door to bring in more boxes from her car, only to find two uniformed county sheriff deputies standing on the porch.
The deputies handed her the emergency injunction and the official notice of trespass, informing her that any attempt to alter, damage, or inhabit any space beyond her designated guest quarters—or worse, violate the property restrictions—would result in immediate physical removal and arrest for contempt of court.

Ryan was trapped at work with frozen funds, and Linda was trapped in a half-emptied house with armed deputies watching her every move.
Karma, it turns out, was not just a concept; it was an efficient, highly coordinated legal team.
