The sun dipped below the Manhattan skyline, painting the glass towers in shades of gold, amber, and deep violet.

We stood on the private balcony of our penthouse, looking out over the sprawling, glittering expanse of the city below us. Yellow taxis moved like fireflies far beneath the clouds, just as they had on the night everything changed.

The green velvet box containing the rare Sicilian music score sat prominently on the mahogany piano inside the living room, a reminder of the night we celebrated our survival rather than our end.

Alessandro wrapped his arms around me from behind, pulling me gently against his chest. I leaned back into his warmth, feeling the steady, powerful rhythm of his heartbeat—a reminder of life, of resilience, and of an unbreakable bond forged in the darkest corners of the underworld.

"We won," I whispered, watching a distant helicopter cross the glowing horizon.

"We did," Alessandro replied, resting his chin softly against my hair. "And no one will ever touch you again. That is my promise."

The storm was gone. The shadows had been swept away. Ahead of us lay a future built on absolute loyalty, unwavering strength, and a love that had stared death in the face and refused to blink.
