Part 2: The Hospital Siege: My Stalker Arrived at the Delivery Room—But a Hidden Recording Changed Everything

Three days after we fled our house, labor started.

Not gently.

Not with a dramatic movie moment where my water broke in a grocery store.

It started at 2:14 a.m. with a crushing pain that folded me in half on Claire's couch.

By 3:00 a.m., Sam was driving through empty streets while I gripped the seatbelt and tried to breathe through contractions.

"You're doing great," he kept saying.

I wasn't listening.

Because every time I closed my eyes, I saw Jake smiling from that lawn.

Waiting.

Watching.

Somehow knowing where I was.

When we reached the hospital, the maternity ward had already been warned.

After the incident at our house, officers had advised us to notify the hospital of Jake's harassment campaign.

My file contained a bright red warning.

NO VISITORS WITHOUT PATIENT APPROVAL.

SECURITY ALERT ACTIVE.

For the first time in weeks, I felt safe.

Then Jess texted me.

Good luck today.

Nothing else.

Just those three words.

I stared at the screen.

Sam saw my face.

"Block her."

"I already did."

"Then why is she still texting?"

I looked closer.

Unknown number.

Again.

A new number.

Just like Jake always used.

The realization made my stomach drop.

Jess wasn't just helping him.

She was actively working around every boundary we created.

Six hours later, I was eight centimeters dilated and exhausted.

Then the nurse rushed into the room.

Her face had gone pale.

"Hannah?"

"What?"

She hesitated.

"There are people downstairs."

Sam stood immediately.

"What people?"

The nurse swallowed.

"A group claiming they're here to witness the birth."

My blood turned to ice.

No.

No.

No.

Not here.

Not now.

The nurse continued.

"They're livestreaming outside the hospital entrance."

Sam was already moving toward the door.

But before he could leave, two security officers entered.

One looked furious.

"They somehow knew the exact room number."

My heart stopped.

The room number.

Only hospital staff knew that.

Unless someone told them.

Someone with access.

Someone communicating with Jake.

The contractions barely registered anymore.

All I could think about was Jess.

Two hours later, our daughter arrived.

Perfect.

Tiny.

Healthy.

The moment I heard her cry, everything else disappeared.

Jake.

The cameras.

The fear.

Gone.

There was only her.

Sam cried before I did.

He held our daughter against his chest and whispered, "Hi, sweetheart. We've been waiting for you."

For the first time in months, I felt peace.

It lasted exactly eleven minutes.

Then chaos exploded outside my room.

Shouting.

Running footsteps.

A crash.

The door burst open.

Jake.

His face was red.

Wild.

Desperate.

Two security guards were grabbing his arms while he screamed.

"THAT'S MY DAUGHTER!"

The baby started crying.

I felt every protective instinct in my body ignite.

"Get him out!"

Jake fought harder.

"HANNAH, TELL THEM!"

Then one of the officers pulled out a phone.

"Sir, you're under arrest."

Jake froze.

"What?"

The officer held up the screen.

"We have evidence."

Jake's face changed.

For the first time since I'd known him...

He looked scared.

May you like

Because someone had finally turned on him.

And that someone was Jess.
