Chapter 10 - A New Dawn on Long Island

Two years later.

The church on the hill was filled with white roses. It was a small, private ceremony, attended only by those who truly mattered—Marco, a few close friends, and our family.

I stood at the altar, my heart racing faster than it ever had during a firefight.

The heavy wooden doors of the church opened, and a hush fell over the room.

Hunter walked down the aisle. She was breathtaking in a simple, elegant lace gown, her dark hair falling in soft curls around her shoulders. In her arms, she carried a beautiful, healthy one-year-old girl with bright blue eyes—our daughter, Sophia Lily.

Walking beside them, holding Hunter's hand with a proud, serious expression, was our two-and-a-half-year-old son, Leo. He was dressed in a tiny tuxedo, looking every bit the proud big brother.

As Hunter reached the altar, I stepped forward, taking our daughter into my arms and kissing Hunter’s forehead. Leo giggled, tugging at my pant leg, and I reached down to scoop him up with my other arm.

The priest smiled, looking at the four of us.

"We are gathered here today to unite this family," he began.

I looked at Hunter, my beautiful wife, the savior of my bloodline, and the keeper of my heart. Through all the darkness, the grief, and the betrayal, we had found our way to the light.

As we exchanged our vows under the warm glow of the stained-glass windows, I knew that the Rossi name would no longer be associated only with fear and power. It would be defined by what we had built here—by love, resilience, and a future that was finally, beautifully, ours.
