NO CHOICE' - Speaker Johnson Drops Bombshell on Live TV After Talking to Trump

WASHINGTON D.C. — The battle over President Donald Trump’s sweeping military operations in Iran has officially moved from the Middle East to the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. As a massive joint U.S.-Israeli military strike continues to rock the Iranian regime, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is issuing a dire, red-alert warning to lawmakers attempting to strip the Commander-in-Chief of his authority.

In a bombshell statement, Johnson completely pushed back against a highly controversial War Powers resolution spearheaded by Reps. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY), calling the legislative attempt to hamstring the President a "frightening prospect."

THE THURSDAY SHOWDOWN

The bipartisan resolution, which is expected to be forced to the House floor on Thursday, would legally require formal Congressional authorization before President Trump can use any further military force against Iran.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) is aggressively urging lawmakers to support the resolution, telling CNN that Trump desperately needs to be "constrained." But Speaker Johnson vehemently disagrees, warning that pulling the plug midway through a highly sensitive mission is a recipe for disaster.

“I think the idea that we would move a War Powers Act vote right now, I mean, it will be forced to the floor, but the idea that we would take the ability of our commander in chief, the president, take his authority away right now to finish this job, is a frightening prospect to me,” Johnson told reporters.
