Investigation Into Barack Obama Over The Trump-Russia Hoax Takes a Turn After The Supreme Court Ruled That a Sitting

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A massive political earthquake has struck Washington after Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard released declassified documents detailing the origins of the Trump-Russia collusion narrative. But while conservatives are demanding accountability and even prison time for former President Barack Obama, a shocking legal twist has emerged: Donald Trump's own Supreme Court victory may be the exact thing that saves Obama from prosecution.

THE DECLASSIFIED BOMBSHELL

The controversy exploded after Gabbard declassified a previously unreleased September 2020 report prepared by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (initiated by then-Chairman Devin Nunes).

According to Gabbard, the evidence directly points to the Obama administration deliberately politicizing the intelligence community to stage what she called a "years-long coup" against President Trump following the 2016 election.

The report focuses heavily on the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) and former CIA Director John Brennan. The explosive findings include:

  • Ignoring Warnings: Two senior CIA officers explicitly warned Brennan that they had no direct information indicating Vladimir Putin wanted Trump elected.

  • Substandard Intelligence: Brennan allegedly ordered the inclusion of previously unpublished, "substandard" reports based heavily on the discredited anti-Trump dossier—which was widely known to be sourced from "internet rumors."

Gabbard has announced she is submitting a formal "criminal referral" to the DOJ and the FBI.

THE SUPREME COURT TWIST

While Republicans like Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) are celebrating the release of the documents and calling for investigations into figures like John Brennan for misleading Congress, prosecuting Barack Obama presents an entirely different challenge.

During an appearance on Fox News' Hannity, legal analyst Greg Jarrett dropped a massive reality check on the situation. Following the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling in Trump v. United States—which established that a president has absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for "official acts"—Obama is likely untouchable.

“Barack Obama should be thanking Donald Trump,” Jarrett told Sean Hannity. “Why? Because he obtained from the U.S. Supreme Court the very kind of immunity that will protect Barack Obama.”

Because the drafting of an Intelligence Community Assessment and the directives given to the CIA Director fall squarely under the "official acts" of a sitting Commander-in-Chief, legal experts agree it would be nearly impossible for Attorney General Pam Bondi to prosecute Obama for treason or conspiracy related to the document's creation.

THE FOCUS SHIFTS TO THE DEEP STATE

While the former President may be shielded by the Supreme Court's mandate, the officials who executed the orders are not afforded the same blanket presidential immunity.

As DNI Gabbard's criminal referrals land on the desks of the DOJ, the focus will almost certainly shift to the intelligence officials, analysts, and directors who allegedly falsified or misrepresented data to the American public.
